Check what still works before you panic
Plug the phone in and look for three things: does the display still light up evenly, does touch respond across the whole surface, and do the cameras and speakers still behave normally?
If the picture is clean and touch works everywhere, you are usually looking at a straightforward glass and display assembly swap — the kind of job we finish the same day in most cases.
Signs the damage went deeper
Black ink-like blotches, vertical lines, dead touch zones, or a screen that flickers under pressure mean the display layer took the hit, not just the glass.
Bent frames and separated seams matter too. If the housing is warped, a new screen will not sit flush and will crack again — we tell you that before you spend money.
When replacing the phone is the honest answer
If the repair cost approaches what the device is worth, the battery is already failing, and the frame is bent, we will say so. Nobody wins when a customer pays for a repair that buys three more months.
